If you are a Bacolod resident aiming to gain commercial kitchen skills for future employment, hotel and restaurant work, or starting your own food business, Great Harvest Academy of Technical Skills (GHATS), Inc. is now accepting applicants for its TESDA-accredited culinary programs.
These courses provide hands-on, industry-relevant instruction to help participants earn a recognized National Certificate (NC).
Offered Training Programs
Cookery NC II
- Focuses on commercial food preparation, professional cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Duration: Approximately 40 days
Bread and Pastry Production NC II
- Covers baking fundamentals, pastry decoration, cake making, and commercial bread production.
- Duration: Approximately 18 days
Entry Qualifications
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria based on the admission guidelines:
- Age: 18 years old and above
- Residency: Must be a resident of Bacolod City
- Employment Status: Currently unemployed
- Enrollment Status: Not currently enrolled in any other school or ongoing training program
- Availability: Fully committed and available to complete the entire required training schedule
Required Documents
Ensure all documentary requirements are complete prior to visiting the academy:
ID Photos:
- 4 copies of 1×1 ID pictures
- 5 copies of passport-size pictures (TESDA format: white background, with collar)
- Civil Status Documents:
- 4 photocopies of NSO/PSA Birth Certificate
- 4 photocopies of NSO/PSA Marriage Certificate (for married female applicants)
Educational Attainment:
- 3 photocopies of Form 138 (Report Card), Diploma, or Transcript of Records (TOR)
- Certifications & Extras:
- Valid Medical Certificate explicitly stating "Fit to Train"
- Certificate of Indigency
- 1 long brown envelope
