Taal Volcano was observed emitting steam at around 6 AM on Wednesday, as the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) continues to keep the volcano under Alert Level 1. This means it is in an abnormal condition and may still produce volcanic activity.
In its latest bulletin, Phivolcs reported that they had recorded two volcanic earthquakes in the past 24 hours.

Additionally, a plume of steam rose approximately 900 meters from the volcano, indicating ongoing hydrothermal activity beneath the surface.
The institute continues to remind the public that entry into Taal Volcano Island, designated as a Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ), is strictly prohibited due to the risk of sudden hazardous events.
They also warn residents in nearby areas about the potential for steam-driven or gas-driven explosions, volcanic earthquakes, minor ashfall, and the release of toxic volcanic gases.
Despite the current alert level, residents and local authorities are urged to remain vigilant and follow the guidance of Phivolcs for any sudden changes in volcanic activity.
