Tropical Storm Ferdie (international name: Bebinca) exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) early Saturday morning, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In an advisory, Pagasa reported that Ferdie left the PAR at 2 a.m. on September 14, and was last tracked 1,210 kilometers east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon. The storm initially entered the PAR at 6 p.m. on Friday, earning the local name Ferdie. At its peak, the storm carried maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph), with gusts reaching up to 105 kph.

Despite its departure from PAR, Pagasa warned that Ferdie's trough or extension, along with the southwest monsoon (locally known as "habagat"), will continue to bring rains to several parts of the country.
Areas Affected by the Southwest Monsoon
The southwest monsoon will bring heavy rains to Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Negros Occidental, the Bicol Region, and other areas in the Negros Island Region on Saturday.
In addition, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila, the rest of the Visayas, the Zamboanga Peninsula, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Soccsksargen, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Calabarzon, Zambales, and Bataan due to the ongoing influence of the southwest monsoon.
The rest of Mindanao will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, as Ferdie's trough continues to extend toward parts of Luzon.
Pagasa advised the public to remain cautious and stay updated with weather advisories, as rain-induced hazards like flooding and landslides may still occur in affected areas.
