Manila Water Updates #WalangTubig

Manila Water announcement has identified the areas that will experience no water or low water supply.


According to Manila Water, they are conducting “operational adjustments ” . This is due to the declining water level of La Mesa Dam .

Last Thursday, it was reported that the water level at La Mesa Dam, which is located in Quezon City has reached its critical level of 69.35 meters above sea level (masl) compared to 80.15 masl Normal High Water level. It was said that the increase in water usage that is estimated to be 1.7 billion liters per day caused this shortage.

IN THE MANILA WATER ANNOUNCEMENT, MANY BRANGGAYS IN MAJOR CITIES IN MANILA AND SEVERAL AREAS IN RIZAL WILL BE AFFECTED.


Here are the affected areas in Metro Manila- Makati, Pasig, Taguig, Mandaluyong, Pateros, Quezon City, Marikina, and San Juan. Whereas in Rizal are – Angono, Antipolo, Binangonan, Cainta,Jalajala, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Taytay, and Teresa.


Yesterday, Manila Water issued an apology for the unexpected service interruption that occurred Thursday night to Friday in in several barangays in Quezon City, Mandaluyong, San Juan, and Pasig. The statement said that ” ..an increase in artificial demand was created when people started storing water , even in areas that not supposed to be affected… reservoirs were not completely refilled from Thursday until Friday morning.
