Mara Lopez Is One Of The Fiercest Women In The Indie Film Industry

We’ve seen this month’s cover girl, Mara Lopez, as she braved the waves and showed her surfing skills. Now, let’s take a look at the other creative side of the August muse—that is, Mara the actress.

Mara is a familiar face in the independent film industry. She has been a part of various movie festivals such as Cinema One Originals, Cinemalaya, and more. If you want to get tfamiliar with her, ehem, body of work, here’s a cheat sheet of some of her movies that you shouldn’t miss.
1) Palitan (2012)
Sometimes, Mara just wants to show her acting prowess (plus toned bod!) and get an acting award for it (she won Cinema One Originals 2012 Best Actress for this film). This was one of those times.

The film shows a bittersweet love story involving members of the T'boli tribe and the struggles of the indigenous culture.

4) Toto (2015)

If you want to see our cover girl in her element, then you definitely must check this film out! Added bonus: she stars alongside fellow FHM muse, Solenn Heussaff!
