Residents of Batangas’ 4th District seeking to gain in-demand vocational skills now have a clear path forward. The School for Academics and Industrial Technology Inc. - OSJ, in partnership with Cong. Caloy & Lianda "Siling Labuyo" Bolilia, has officially opened applications for the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).
This initiative offers 100% free TESDA training and assessment, equipping individuals with market-ready skills to boost their employability or career prospects.
Offered Courses & Available Slots
Slots are strictly limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis for qualified candidates:
- Housekeeping NC II – 25 slots available (2nd Batch for 2026)
- Bartending NC II – 25 slots available
Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
To qualify for the TWSP scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Location: Must be a resident of District 4 ONLY (Ibaan, Rosario, San Jose, Padre Garcia, Taysan, or San Juan).
- Age & Fitness: Aged 18 to 59 years old, and mentally, emotionally, and physically fit.
- Education: At least a High School Graduate.
- Current Status: Not currently in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET).
- Basic Skills: Must be able to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
- Digital Literacy: Capable of searching online, as well as uploading, downloading, and editing basic documents for online coursework.
- Device Access: Access to a working mobile phone or tablet capable of capturing clear images and opening PDF, Word, and PowerPoint files.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive full financial support for their training, including:
- 100% Free Skills Training
- Free National Competency Assessment
- Training Support Fund: Daily allowance of ₱160 per training day
Training Setup & Schedule
Mode of Training: Blended Learning (A combination of Online sessions and Face-to-Face practical classes).
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Requirements Checklist
Interested applicants should prepare the following documents:
- 1 Long Brown Envelope and 1 Plastic Envelope
- Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
- Photocopy of Marriage Contract (if applicable)
- Photocopy of Academic Record (Diploma, TOR, Form 137/138, or SF-09/SF-10)
- Photocopy of Valid ID
- Barangay Clearance
- ID Photos (White background, in collared attire with name tag):
- 5 pieces (1x1)
- 7 pieces (Passport Size)
Certificate for Practicing COVID-19 Preventive Measures in the Workplace (Can be taken online via e.tesda.gov.ph)
Note: A Basic Medical Examination Test (with endorsement) will be required once an applicant is officially qualified for a slot after initial reporting.
