The Fort Strip in Taguig to Close Indefinitely Starting 2025

As the new year approaches, Bonifacio Global City (BGC) has announced the indefinite closure of The Fort Strip, one of its iconic lifestyle and entertainment hubs, effective January 1, 2025.

The announcement was made through BGC’s official social media channels on Wednesday, December 11, with a heartfelt message to its patrons. “This is goodbye for now but not forever. We’ll be back. Better than you remember, and better than you can imagine,” the post read. It also encouraged visitors to make the most of the remaining days. “Until we close up on January 1, feel free to hang out at The Strip like you’ve always done!”

The Fort Strip has been home to several beloved restaurants, bars, and nightlife establishments, including Nectar Nightclub, Yes Please, Wow Cow BBQ, and Samgyuniku. These venues have been integral to BGC’s vibrant social scene, attracting locals and tourists alike.

In a related announcement, Nectar Nightclub, a prominent establishment in the strip, also confirmed its permanent closure in BGC starting January 1, 2025. However, fans of the nightclub have something to look forward to, as Nectar is preparing for its next chapter at a new location. Details about the new venue are expected to be released soon.

Nectar Nightclub has made a significant mark on the local nightlife scene, notably as a haven for the LGBTQIA+ community and a platform for drag artistry. It has nurtured talents such as Marina Summers, Taylor Sheesh, Aries Night, and O-A, who have risen to prominence in the drag and entertainment industry.

While the closure of The Fort Strip marks the end of an era, BGC’s promise of a “better” return leaves room for anticipation. Patrons can look forward to the possibility of a reimagined and enhanced version of this iconic block in the future.

For now, visitors and regulars have until the end of the year to create lasting memories at The Fort Strip, relishing its dynamic and diverse offerings one last time.
