Market! Market!, a popular shopping destination in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) known for its affordable offerings, is on the brink of a significant transformation. The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has announced that the redevelopment of the shopping mall in Taguig City is underway, with the property's lease ending in 2027.
BCDA President and Chief Executive Joshua Bingcang stated that the redevelopment will align with BGC's transit-oriented development vision. BGC is renowned for its upscale shopping centers, fine dining restaurants, trendy nightspots, and more.
“Market! Market! land will be up for redevelopment, so it will be a mixed-use. Of course, it is our single last big property in BGC and we want to make sure once we redevelop it we’ll get the maximum value for the property,” he told reporters.
The mall occupies a 9.7-hectare property, making it BCDA's largest asset in the BGC district.
In another development, BCDA is also planning the redevelopment of a different plot of land in BGC. Following a recent board approval, Bingcang announced plans to tender a mixed-use development project located within the Navy village.

Since its opening in 2004, Market! Market! has been a go-to destination for the middle market, offering a unique experience compared to the luxury-focused establishments in BGC that cater to the upper socioeconomic class.
Bingcang mentioned that the Ayala group has the option to participate in the asset's disposal. "We see no reason why they cannot participate in the redevelopment of the site," he added.
