CAVITEX Toll-Free in July

In a recent announcement, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) revealed that motorists using the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX) will not be required to pay toll fees for the entire month of July.

This 30-day toll holiday comes after the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) approved a board resolution to suspend the fees effective July 1.

The proposal for the toll suspension was put forward by the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), the owner of the property on which the expressway is situated. The Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation, which operates the expressway, also consented to this move.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed his support for the PRA's decision to suspend toll collection, emphasizing the benefits it will bring to motorists traveling through key areas such as Taguig, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Bacoor, and Kawit.

The 30-day toll holiday is expected to provide significant relief to daily commuters and travelers, potentially easing traffic congestion and reducing travel costs for many. The DOTr and TRB are hopeful that this initiative will have a positive impact on the mobility and economic activities in the affected areas.

Authorities will closely monitor the situation and assess the effects of the toll suspension on traffic flow and infrastructure usage throughout the month. Further announcements and updates will be provided as needed.

This initiative reflects the government's ongoing efforts to support motorists and enhance transportation infrastructure across the country.
