Gov'r workers get FREE MRT-3, LRT-2 and PNR rides on Sept. 19


In celebration of the month-long Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, government workers are offered free rides on Monday, September 19, by the DOTr MRT-3, Light Rail Transit Authority - LRT2, and the Philippine National Railways as part of the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC’s) “Treats to Government Workers.”



“The free rides offered to our government workers in our major rail lines is the Department of Transportation’s (DOTr’s) way of honoring them. These civil servants give important contribution and perform indispensable role to nation building,” Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said.

The free rides the government workers can avail in the MRT-3 and LRT-2 are available from 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. only.



Meanwhile, the PNR will give free rides to government employees the whole day, from first to the last trip in all operational routes, subject to the availability of its trainsets.


Government workers must present their IDs as proof of their employment with any government agencies, offices, and instrumentalities to avail of the free rides.
