THOUSANDS of supporters of former senator Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio joined a motorcade in Quezon City on Wednesday to show their force and support to the tandem.
In a statement, Marcos' camp claimed that the people who trooped to Quezon City on Wednesday morning to join the caravan 'magnified the people power strength of the tandem in Metro Manila.'
The motorcade also 'reinforced' the survey results which showed that Marcos and Duterte-Carpio were 'leading the race in Metro Manila, among other regions.'
The motorcade caused traffic jams in major roads in the city.

The five-hour motorcade began along Commonwealth Avenue in front of the Commission on Audit and ended at Welcome Rotonda at the boundary of Quezon City and Manila.
'Ang pagpili po ninyo kay Marcos at Duterte ay boto ninyo para sa pagkakaisa, para sa pa mas mabuti at mas magandang kinabukasan ng ating bansa (Your choice of Marcos and Duterte is your vote for unity, for our country's better future),' Marcos told his supporters.

Vic Rodriguez, Marcos' chief of staff and spokesman, thanked Quezon City Mayor Josefina 'Joy' Belmonte and other city officials.
Rodriguez apologized to the motorists and the Metro Manila Development Authority for the traffic the event created.
'We never anticipated that the carefully laid down preparation exerted by the organizers will be overwhelmed by the massive number of supporters who graced the occasion,' he said.
Anakalusugan Rep. Michael Defensor estimated that Marcos Jr. could get 750,000 or more in Quezon City.
'Based sa voters during last election, may 1.3 million registered voters, assuming lang 1.3 and mayroon tayong turnout na almost 80 percent or assume na rin natin na 1 million, tinataya namin na ang boto ni Bongbong Marcos will be at 750,000. Ika nga, supermajority in Quezon City,' Defensor said.
'The people came out of their houses and occupied the Commonwealth and Quezon Avenues to express their support for the BBM-Sara tandem. They represent the silent supermajority. This is unprecedented,' Defensor, Malayang Quezon City mayoralty aspirant, said.
