If you are looking to advance your technical skills in welding and gain a higher TESDA credential, a new scholarship program in Quezon City is now open for enrollment.
Integrated Innovation and Hospitality Colleges Inc. (IIH College) is currently accepting applicants for its Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II program under the TESDA Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). This initiative is specifically designed for current SMAW NC I holders who wish to upskill and qualify for broader career opportunities in construction, manufacturing, and industrial fabrication.
Scholarship Benefits
Qualified scholars accepted into the program will receive full institutional support throughout their training period, including:
Free SMAW NC II Training: Zero tuition and instruction fees.
Free Competency Assessment: Complimentary evaluation to earn an official TESDA National Certificate II (NC II) upon passing.
₱5,440 Training Allowance: Financial support provided to cover incidental expenses while completing the course.

The SMAW NC II program focuses on advanced welding techniques, adhering to industrial safety standards, operating specialized arc welding equipment, and interpreting technical drawings. Earning an NC II certification validates your technical proficiency and enhances your qualifications for local and overseas employment.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the TWSP scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following basic requirements:
- Must be an existing SMAW NC I holder.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Educational Attainment: High School Graduate, Senior High School Graduate, College Graduate, or ALS Graduate (subject to eligibility verification).
Documentary Requirements
Interested applicants should prepare and complete two (2) sets of the following documents before applying:
- Proof of SMAW NC I Qualification (Certificate or National ID record)
- Barangay Clearance
- 2 copies of PSA Birth Certificate
- 2 copies of Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
- Academic Records:
- College Graduates: 2 copies of Transcript of Records (TOR)
- Senior High School Graduates: 2 copies of Report Card
- High School Graduates (2015 or earlier): 2 copies of Form 137
- ALS Graduates: 2 copies of AF-5
- Valid Government-issued ID
- 3 pieces 1x1 pictures
- 2 pieces TESDA passport-size pictures (with collar, white background, and name tag)
How to Enroll
Enrollment is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis upon full submission of documents. Applicants must personally submit their requirements to the college's TESDA department.
