Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto thanked nat'l gov for 650M financial aid

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto expressed his gratitude in a Facebook post on Sunday, August 8, as the city received P650-million cash aid from the national government -- although this fund is "not enough" for the whole Pasig City.

With this, Sotto ordered the local government unit (LGU) to get 260,000 food packs to help more residents in Pasig and reassured the public that he personally checked the repacking of the goods that will be provided.

He also said that the city aims to provide assistance to all residents who are enlisted in the Department of Social Welfare and Development pockets of poverty plus.

In his social media post, the mayor also thanked all the people who cooperated and helped.
