Taguig City tallied 157 new COVID-19 cases; 2,428 total

Here are the latest COVID-19 updates in Taguig City.

Taguig City recorded an additional 157 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 7 more recoveries in the city as of August 6, 2020.

In total, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taguig was 2,428 with 37 deaths, and 1,911 recovered patients.

Most of the new cases are from Zone 2 in Barangay Fort Bonifacio. This is due to the intensive active case finding in close contacts of confirmed cases in the area previously reported.

This is just proof that cases have been identified, traced, tested, and quarantined to prevent further spread of the virus.

The new cases are from Brgys. Bagumbayan (3), Bambang (4), Calzada (1), Hagonoy (2), Ibayo-Tipas (9), Lower Bicutan (6), New Lower Bicutan (5), Napindan (2), Palingon-Tipas (1 ), Sta. Ana (7), Tuktukan (3), Ususan (9), Central Bicutan (7), Central Signal (7), Fort Bonifacio (38), Katuparan (15), Maharlika (2), North Daang Hari (8), North Signal (2), South Daang Hari (2), South Signal (2), Popular (9), Western Bicutan (6), and Combined (7).

Taguig City has also conducted a total of 27,695 PCR tests through the SMART testing program with the help of drive-thru testing, testing at barangay health centers, testing at Taguig-Pateros District Hospital (TPDH), and CEDSU testing.
