National Book Store has denied that it will be closing its branches in a number of malls as reported in social media posts.
NBS said it has received support from its mall partners to help them overcome the crisis.

The book and school supplies giant is also strengthening its e-commerce platforms (www.nationalbookstore.com) and official stores on online shopping platforms Shopee and Lazada.
It is also developing platforms to allow customers to purchase items via SMS, Viber and Facebook Messenger.
“National Book Store has overcome a lot of difficulties and obstacles since its humble beginnings nearly 80 years ago. We remain committed to our promise of being your lifelong partner in learning, creativity, and self-expression, and will strive to continue fulfilling this promise as best as we can,” said NBS in a statement.
