Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said the IDs should specify the work industry involved as he emphasized that travel to and from different quarantine areas requires having IDs.
He made the statement as several areas are set to shift to eased restrictions on Saturday as the country continued to face the coronavirus pandemic.

"Unfortunately, dahil nga po ang pag-travel from GCQ (general community quarantine) to ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) is only for industries na allowed, kinakailangan po talaga ng identification card," he said in a Palace press briefing.

(Unfortunately, because traveling from GCQ to ECQ areas is only for industries allowed, an ID is required.)
"Sa mga self-employed, puwede naman silang gumawa ng card nila at ipakita nila kung ano talaga ang gagawin nila at saang industriya iyon," he added.
(For the self-employed, they can make their own ID to show which industry they belong to and what they do.)

The Palace official on Thursday also clarified that workers will be allowed to travel for job-related reasons to and from modified and general community quarantine areas.
"'Yung mga allowed po magtrabaho sa iba't-ibang quarantine areas, they will be allowed provided that they are working in an industry that is allowed to operate," Roque said in a Palace press briefing.
(Those allowed to work in different quarantine areas are allowed provided that they are working in an industry that is allowed to operate.)

Starting Saturday, only Metro Manila, neighboring Laguna province, and Cebu City in Visayas will be under a modified enhanced community quarantine until May 31 as these places were identified to have a high risk of a coronavirus outbreak.
The rest of the country, meanwhile, will be under general community quarantine where most businesses are allowed to operate at full capacity.
