Aside from issues on parking fees, the MTPB also relieved these parking attendants for not wearing proper uniforms, proper identification cards, and "attitude problems" while on duty.

The move came after the MTPB acted on complaints filed by motorists via several platforms, from written complaints to messages via social media.

According to the MTPB, motorists should only pay the designated parking fees written on the official parking tickets issued by the local government.

The bureau also advised motorists not to accept parking tickets if the parking attendant refused to write the amount charged.

Motorists with light vehicles such as cars, jeepneys, tricycles and motorcycles should only pay P20 for the first three hours, with an additional P15 for the succeeding hours.

For medium vehicles such as vans and delivery trucks, the MTPB would charge motorists P30 for the first three hours, and an additional P20 in the succeeding hours.

On the other hand, motorists with heavy vehicles such as buses and 10-wheeler trucks would be charged P60 for the first three hours, and P40 for the succeeding hours.
