How to check SSS Loan renewal eligibility online



There’s nothing to worry about in checking your Social Security Services loan needs. Because SSS provides easy way to have a hassle-free transaction including eligibility, loan status, and payments online.

All you have to do is go to their website and choose what you need to do online.
The SSS has issued Circular No.2012-018, it has guidelines for the SSS short-Term Member Loans.
SSS members who have paid up at least fifty percent (50%) of their existing Short-Term loans and have completed at least 50% of the loan term may already avail a renewal. But make sure that your latest loan amortization that will complete your 50% payment has been posted to your SSS account.
Meanwhile, here’s the steps you need to know about.
STEPS ON HOW TO CHECK LOAN ELIGIBILITY ONLINE
Step 1. Go to the SSS Website at www.sss.gov.ph log in to your account using your User ID and Password under Member Log-in then click Submit.   
Step 2. Under “E-SERVICES” menu, click “Inquiry”
Step 3. If you are using unsupported browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome), you will see this pop up advisory. Click “View Instructions” and follow the instructions given depending on the browser you are using. If you can’t follow the instruction, use Internet Explorer.
Step 4. After you successfully logged in to your account, you will be redirected to the “Employee Static Information” page, click on “Eligibility” link then select “Loan”.


Step 5. Supply your Employer ID number, then click submit or if you are Self-Employed or Voluntary member tick the check box.
Step 6: That’s it; you can now check your loan eligibility. In my case, I have not yet paid at least half of my loan. But still the system will tell you the renewal date.
Just a friendly reminder, make sure not to neglect payments because this will prevent you from availing of loan again. It will also affect your monthly pension plan during retirement or even the lump sum.
