2018 FIFA World Cup Group Stage permutations: Group C-D, who will progress to the knock-out stage?

Nigeria handed Lionel Messi's Argentina a FIFA World Cup lifeline but could now see themselves dumped out of Russia 2018 tonight takes a look at the group stage permutations going into the third and final round of fixtures.

After Argentina's shock 3-0 defeat to Croatia last week, Lionel Messi's FIFA World Cup appeared to be at a premature ending.
However, Ahmed Musa's two-goal heroics against Iceland sets Group D up evenly poised.
Here are the permutations of tonight's two groups:
Group C:
France have limbered towards qualification to the next round with two unconvincing victories based on the talent within their ranks and can afford to 'rest' a few star players tonight against Denmark.
However, it's unlikely as Les Blues still need to wrap up group D - which could be in jeopardy given their opposition will be keen to have their progression in their own hands.
Already eliminated Peru, face up against a resilient Australia, who hold a single point - but still have the slim chance of advancing to the next round if they record a victory and France do them a favour.
Both games kickoff at 16:00.

Group D:
The following group is far less straightforward, with a number of contributing factors that will create riveting viewing for the neutrals.
With Croatia on six points and a positive goal difference of five, they've all but mathematically secured the group winners status.
While Nigeria, Iceland, and Argentina all have a chance of joining them in the next phase of the global showpiece.
The Super Eagles have all the cards in their hand at the moment, as a draw could see them through if Croatia sees off the Nordic nation - while a win for Argentina could create what seemed unthinkable.
Lionel Messi's side will progress with four points if they can snatch three points from the African giants and Iceland fail to spring a surprise.
Both games kickoff at 20:00.
