If you are looking to acquire high-demand technical skills without breaking the bank, a major opportunity has just opened up in Central Luzon. The TESDA Gonzalo Puyat School of Arts and Trades (GPSAT) is offering a fully funded Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II training program through the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP).
Located in San Sebastian, San Luis, Pampanga, this initiative is designed to bridge the gap between unemployment and skilled labor, giving qualified individuals a direct pathway to stable technical careers.
What the STEP Scholarship Includes
The STEP program goes beyond free tuition by offering financial and physical tools to set trainees up for success from day one:
- 100% Free Tuition & Assessment: Comprehensive 25-day practical skills training and assessment at no cost.
- Daily Support Fund: Trainees receive a ₱160 daily allowance to help cover basic expenses during the 25-day period.
- Free Starter Toolkit: A complete set of basic tools will be provided to help graduates start working immediately.
- National Certification: Graduates who pass the assessment receive a recognized TESDA National Certificate II (NC II), opening doors to local and overseas employment.
Qualifications and Eligibility
The program is open to men, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and individuals from all backgrounds, provided they meet the following baseline requirements:
- Age: At least 15 years old
- Education: High School Graduate (Old Curriculum) or Senior High School Graduate (New Curriculum)
- Status: Must be currently unemployed and not enrolled in any other training program
Required Documents
Interested applicants must gather the following documents inside one long brown envelope (unlabeled) before submitting their application:
- Barangay Clearance
- Photocopy of Academic Credentials (Diploma or Transcript of Records)
- Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate (and PSA Marriage Certificate for married female applicants)
- Medical Certificate (stating you are physically fit for technical training)
- ID Photos (White Background): 1 pc. 2×2, 3 pcs. Passport Size, 6 pcs. 1×1
