DepEd said blended learning will be implemented in public schools nationwide on Oct. 5 for the NTD and WTD celebration and on Oct. 31, a day after the conduct of the 2023 BSKE on Oct. 30.
The shift to blended learning, DepEd said, will “allow teachers to participate in activities” in this year’s celebration of NTD and WTD.
DepEd added that the suspension of in-person classes will also “give them [teachers] ample time to complete election-related duties” for the 2023 BSKE.
All in-person classes in public elementary and secondary schools, including community learning centers of the Alternative Learning System (ALS), DepEd said, “shall shift to the various blended learning modalities” such as modular distance and asynchronous classes.
Moreover, DepEd also declared the suspension of face-to-face classes and the implementation of blended learning modalities on Friday, Nov. 3.
As released by Malacañang, Nov. 1 (All Saints' Day) and Nov. 2 (All Souls' Day) are special non-working days.
