WHAT TO BRING FOR MANILA OCEAN PARK

Here are some things you might consider bringing with you for your day tour / adventure:

Shopee is my go-to app for things I needed like the ones above. If you'd like discounts and vouchers, you may get the best offers here:

Oceanarium

The Oceanarium is home to 14,000 marine creatures from around 277 species, all indigenous to the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Its sheer size and diversity make it one of the world's best public aquariums. This is the biggest and the main attraction at Manila Ocean Park.

Oceanarium

The Oceanarium is a stunning walkthrough of the watery depths featuring seven sections and containing 3,000 cubic meters of seawater.

At the heart of a 55-meter journey inside the Oceanarium is the main attraction - a 220° curved walkway tunnel with a spectacular underwater view of amazing sea creatures swimming overhead.

Other attractions inside Oceanarium

The water source for the Oceanarium is filtered water from Manila Bay. A special process is done to ensure that the seawater is suitable for marine life.

It has an educational activity area, unique function rooms for special events and bi-level shark and stingray viewing facilities.

All Star Bird Show

To end our tour, we chose to attend the last schedule (4:30pm) All Star Bird and Sea Lion shows. We had our snacks before 4pm at Garden Cafe so that we can fall in line before the gates open and let the guests get seats for the show.

Seats for the show

Their fine feathered friends provide awesome tricks, amazing stunts, guest participation and an important environmental message for its audience. These intelligent birds consist of macaws, cockatoos, and eagles and provide remarkable showmanship and high-flying thrills.

Sea Lion Show

Meet the adorable sea lions of South America as they bring you valuable information on environmental conservation.

Since we chose the afternoon schedule, it was sunny and hot since the seats are facing west where the sun is setting. You might opt to watch the earlier time of the show if you wanted to be more comfy at least.

Sea Lion Show

The show runs 4 to 6 times a day and seats up to 1,900 pax per show. It is also a fantastic show for all, highlighting their special skills and unique characteristics plus a chance to get a kiss with a souvenir photo.

When you go to the park, the landmarks that you can consider are Quirino Grandstand, Manila Hotel, and Luneta park. Basically, the Ocean park is just a stone throw away from the grandstand.

Fortunately, there are many ways to get there. However, the only way to actually get to the place is by walking, by riding a taxicab, or by a private vehicle. There are no public transportation that pass by in front of it.

So if you will travel with your kids, then its better to ride a taxi or bring your own private transportation.

From Pasay, Monumento, Baclaran
  • Ride the LRT1 then alight at United Nations (UN) Avenue station.
  • From there walk towards the Quirino Grandstand.
  • The oceanarium’s building is located at the back of the grandstand.

From Cubao Quezon City
  • Ride the LRT 2 in Cubao-Araneta station then alight at Recto station.
  • Walk to Doroteo Jose station in LRT1.
  • Ride LRT1 going to Baclaran then alight at UN avenue station.
  • Walk towards Quirino grandstand. At the back of the latter is the Manila Ocean Park building.
