Makati LGU leads non-contact distribution of ECQ 'ayuda'


Makati City local government unit (LGU) has started distributing the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) "ayuda" or cash aid through electronic money transfer today for residents' safety and convenience.

Mayor Abigail "Abby" Binay explained that she wants the distribution to be contactless for the safety of the public. The cash aid will be sent to the worthy registrants of proudmakatizen.com via GCash.

The list of qualified residents is available in their respective barangay halls.

Makati LGU received over P500 million from the national government, according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The distribution of cash aid is due to the implementation of ECQ in Metro Manila from August 6 to August 20 aftee the surge of Delta variant cases of COVID-19 in the region.
