Brahminy Kite spotted in Manila

Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus) glides after catching a fish in this photo taken from Harbor Square at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex on July 31, 2020.

According to the Birdlife International database, the population of Brahminy Kites in Southeast Asia is declining due to habitat loss, persecution and overuse of pesticides, but "not believed to be sufficiently rapid to approach the thresholds for vulnerable."
