2 New Trainsets Added to PNR

Two (2) new trainsets will be added to the fleet of PNR which is part of the 8100 series. 8100 series is a four-car Diesel Multiple Unit.

The 2 new trains were mechanically and electronically coupled/connected by PNR Training and Maintenance Support staff with direct supervision from manufacturer PT INKA.

The new train sets will be subjected to validation run of 150 hours before it is certified for commercial run. This will be performed between May 21 to May 31, 2020 or until a continuous 150 running hours without major hazard logged into the system. This is part of PNR’s Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) program.

These trains will increase PNR’s capacity given the implementation of the social distancing in public transportation.
