A quake from Quezon Province was felt in Metro Manila

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Burdeos town in Quezon province Friday afternoon, the state quake monitoring agency said, with the tremor felt across Luzon.

The temblor occurred at 4:28 p.m. northeast of Burdeos at a depth of 10 kilometers, Phivolcs said. It was tectonic in origin.

Intensity IV was felt in Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte and Quezon City while Intensity III was experienced in Guinayangan, Quezon.

Instrumental Intensity was reported in Quezon City and Tagaytay.

Several office buildings in the metro were evacuated, including Malacañang.
