In a move aimed at whipping the Philippine National Police (PNP) into shape, PNP Chief General Nicolas Torre III has enlisted an unexpected ally: social media personality Rendon Labador.
Labador has been tapped as the fitness coach for a new 93-day weight loss and fitness challenge targeting overweight police officers.
According to Labador, he will spearhead the program, focusing on both exercise and proper nutrition for participating officers. "I will be monitoring, recommending, with the help of nutritionists, what they will eat. It needs to be workout and proper nutrition," Labador stated.

This new initiative follows General Torre's strict directive giving overweight police officers a one-year grace period to achieve their ideal weight. Failure to do so could result in dismissal from service, based on existing regulations under Republic Act 6975. The program underscores a serious commitment to improving the physical well-being and readiness of the police force.

General Torre's Policy, Rendon's Action
The program's objective extends beyond just weight reduction. It also aims to demonstrate to the public the discipline within the police force, reflecting their discipline in service.
Labador, known for his direct and often provocative style, expressed his enthusiasm for the challenge on social media, declaring, "93 DAYS, we will make the police with big bellies lose weight!!! Come on, will you join???" His involvement is expected to bring a high level of public attention and perhaps an unconventional approach to the PNP's fitness goals.
