- Operating assigned revenue trains according to schedule and instructions, with strict observance of wayside and on-board signaling systems, safety regulations, and operating procedures.
- Conducting thorough inspections of trains as per approved procedures.
- Coordinating seamlessly with the Control Center regarding any abnormalities encountered, both before inserting a train or while on the revenue line.
- Applying intervention procedures during train breakdowns and executing train hauling when required, following approved protocols.
- Adhering to all orders and advice from the Control Center during revenue operation.
- Preparing detailed reports and documenting actions taken for all train abnormalities.
- Serving as agents of safety and security, providing essential announcements to passengers regarding safety reminders and station names.
- Assisting Supervising Transportation Development Officers and Senior Transportation Development Officers with other assigned duties.
Qualifications for Interested Applicants
The DOTr MRT-3 is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Education: At least a High School Graduate.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, specifically involving driving duties.
- Training: Completion of eight (8) hours of relevant training.
- Eligibility: Not required for this contractual position.
Conditional Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical computation.
- Must possess at least a Student Permit or an LTO license with Restriction Code 1.
