Iran Rejects Trump's 'Unconditional Surrender' Demand Amid Escalating Conflict

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei today firmly rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's demand for an "unconditional surrender," warning of "irreparable damage" should the United States directly intervene in the ongoing air war with Israel.

In his first public remarks since Israel began its bombardment of Iran last Friday, Khamenei delivered a resolute statement, read by a television presenter, asserting that peace or war could not be dictated to the Islamic Republic.

"Intelligent people who know Iran, the Iranian nation, and its history will never speak to this nation in threatening language because the Iranian nation will not surrender," Khamenei stated. He added a stark warning directed at Washington: "The Americans should know that any U.S. military intervention will undoubtedly be accompanied by irreparable damage."

His comments come as the conflict shows no signs of de-escalation. Thousands of people were reportedly fleeing Tehran on Wednesday after Israeli warplanes carried out overnight bombings. The Israeli military confirmed that 50 of its jets struck approximately 20 targets in Tehran, including sites involved in producing raw materials, components, and manufacturing systems for missiles.

Meanwhile, a source familiar with internal White House discussions revealed that President Trump and his team are actively considering options, including the possibility of the U.S. joining Israel in strikes against Iranian nuclear sites.

Iran has already conveyed a clear message to Washington regarding potential U.S. involvement. Ali Bahreini, Iran's ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, stated that Iran would retaliate against the United States for any direct participation, emphasizing that he already views the U.S. as "complicit in what Israel is doing."

The escalating rhetoric and military actions underscore the rapidly deteriorating security situation in the Middle East, with the potential for broader regional and international implications.
