Additional efforts include reinforcing embankments, upgrading rail tracks, and repairing bridges along the South Line.

The revival of the Calamba-Legazpi route aims to provide faster, safer, and more comfortable travel for the public. This initiative is expected to enhance connectivity and promote economic development in the provinces along the route.

The PNR envisions the route's reopening as a step towards revitalizing the country's railway infrastructure, bringing efficient and reliable transportation closer to more Filipinos.
