The Senate President addressed the announcement of Duque that the COVID-19 curve in the Philippines already “flattened.”
In a Facebook post by Inquirer, Sotto jokingly hits back to Duque about the current situation of the COVID-19 curve in the country. “Baka fatten the curve ang ibig niyang sabihin. Daming tumaba,” he said.
As reported by GMA News Online (authored by Llanesca Panti), Duque took back his statement that the curve of COVID-19 cases in the country already flattened. He explained that he got confused by the question.
Duque clarified that the country was able to bend or start the curve of the cases.

“Now, we are seeing an increase in cases dahil sa expanded testing and community transmission as we allow more movement of people, dahil nagluwag na po tayo ng restrictions,” he added.
