LTFRB approves 31 bus routes in Metro Manila

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has opened all 31 city bus routes in Metro Manila to increase public transportation modes during the quarantine period.

In a statement on Wednesday, LTFRB rolled out Route 10 which is from Cubao, Quezon City to Doroteo Jose in Manila to complete all 31 rationalized city bus routes in the National Capital Region.

The LTFRB said it implemented the gradual opening of public transportation to ensure that health requirements will be enforced as the threat of coronavirus pandemic continues.

The agency, likewise, reminded operators and drivers of public utility buses to follow strict health protocols to suppress community transmission of the coronavirus disease.

This includes wearing face masks, using gloves, regular disinfection of vehicles per trip, placing transparent materials for shields inside the bus unit and minimum passenger seating capacity.
