P2P Bus Routes: Guide for Metro Manila Commuters

To help alleviate some of the stress that comes with the daily commute, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB), and the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) presented a joint initiative to provide an easier, safer, and more comfortable transport for commuters: the Point-to-Point (P2P) Bus Services.

P2P Metro Manila

Unlike regular bus services, the P2P buses have fixed departure schedules. P2P buses also have fewer and very specific pick-up and drop-off points. This means you can get from Point A to Point B faster. With amenities like comfortable seats, free WiFi, Person with Disability (PWD) access, and (for some) even restrooms, commuting around Metro Manila becomes a more comfortable experience. Here are some of the routes:

  • Alabang – BGC
  • Alabang – EDSA Shaw
  • Alabang – Makati
  • Alabang – Ortigas
  • Eastwood – Makati
  • Fairview – Makati
  • Katipunan – Makati
  • NAIA – Makati, Manila, and Pasay
  • North EDSA – Makati
  • North EDSA – Ortigas
  • Ortigas – Makati
  • Sucat – Makati

P2P Provincial Bus Routes

With Point-to-Point buses becoming more popular around the city, P2P bus service providers (with the oversight of MMDA) have been working to make traveling between the metro and provinces from the north, south, and east easier and faster than ever. Recent news from PhilStar has reported that the MMDA is “eyeing to replace provincial buses with P2P as it stood firm on its policy to remove all provincial bus terminals on EDSA”.

Not only will this initiative help in alleviating the volume of traffic around Manila, but also provide more convenient and comfortable travel for province-to-city commuters. There will even be bus facilities for luggage-laden passengers who need to get to provincial airports like Clark or Metro Manila airports like NAIA.

Are you a daily commuter from the province to the city? Try these provincial P2P routes so you can have a faster, smoother, and more comfortable ride:
